Dr Seuss Nursery Mural

I thought I would share the mural I painted when I was 7 months pregnant with Emelia. I have always loved the whimsy and quirky quality that Dr. Seuss books had, and always knew I wanted a Dr. Seuss themed nursery. Now after both kids have moved out of the room and into their own space it is now a fun playroom for them to be themselves in. :)

The finished Product!
Come on in! Love the new doors.

I was planning on making a growth chart for the Fox in the socks to hold but never got around to it.

The Bedding

The cute hat lamp

The comfy chair I rocked both my babies in

I love this room. I'm not sure if I will ever have the heart to paint over it.

    1. Thank you! Unfortunately it was 7 years ago so I don't remember where I got it. But I do remember the sheet and the bedding came from two different websites.

Those colors worked out so perfect because I used it for my daughter and two years later for my son, so it was very gender neutral. :)

  7. What did you use for drawing and outlining your characters? My husband and I are getting ready to paint a Dr.seuss nursery and are trying to figure out the best way for paint and draw the characters

    1. Hi! I just hand drew the characters. I had all the books and found the characters in there that I wanted to add.

You can use a projector. Or take the images to staples and get them blown up larger scale black and white. Put graphite paper behind and trace the image into the wall. Good luck!
